THE LATEST ON THE LADIES IN RED

Welcome to Alpha Sigma Rho's blog! We wanted this blog to encompass every aspect of ASR sisters: to capture the stories of sisters reminiscing about their first encounters with our sorority as well as highlighting alumnae life in our sisterhood. We invite any sister if they wish to contribute their story or to nominate an active sister or alumnae to be a Feature Sister to please email at nationalboard@alphasigmarho.org. National Board will invite nominees from chapters, colony, and alumnae sisters and National Board as a whole will decide which sister to feature every other month.

What is a Spotlight Sister?

"The idea to feature sisters came to me while I was reading Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world. The intention of this page is not to brag about any sister because we all contribute in our own ways to the sorority. However, I want to highlight sisters that have inspired other sisters to achieve great things or have influenced the course of our sorority’s development. The sisters can be active sisters or alumnae. National Board will invite nominees from chapters, colony, and alumni sisters and National Board as a whole will decide which sister to feature every other month.

My ultimate goal is to leave a legacy for our sorority. I often wonder about the sisters that came before me and I don’t have many opportunities to get to know them. One hundred years from now, when our sorority will celebrate its achievements, the younger generation will wonder about the many sisters that have came before them and the stories that have shaped our sorority. I want to leave this legacy for them by preserving our history and narrating the individuals that have influenced our sorority. I hope you’ll enjoy this page just as much as I did creating it."  - Anna Zheng, Beta Chapter
