Sister Spotlight: Ivie Enoma

Ivie “Resolute” Enoma

Ivie Enoma is a third year marketing major at Temple University who joined our sisterhood in the Fall of 2012.  I am lucky enough to be her big sister as it has given me the opportunity to bond with and get to know such an amazing young lady.  Ivie has been actively involved with Alpha Sigma Rho since the day she crossed into our sorority.  It makes me so proud that she has been voted by our active house the “Most Active” new member as a neophyte and “Most Active Sister” during the 2013-14 school year.  Ivie has held multiple positions for Epsilon Chapter, many of these concurrently while participating in other Temple University organizations.  For Epsilon Chapter, she has been the Vice President of External Affairs, Social Chair, Webmistress, and Stroll Master, as well as being the current Historian and Expansion Chair.  One of the things that I love most about my little is that she is very dedicated to ASR and donates more time than the average sister to the sorority.  Ivie has a passion and drive for success that allows her to be so involved with school and the sorority at the same time.

One of Ivie’s favorite things to do is dance.  She planned and executed Temple’s first UNDEFEATED competition, which was the first dance, step and stroll show on Temple’s campus.  The event was so successful that UNDEFEATED 2.0 took place in 2014.  Thanks to Ivie’s hard work, ASR is able to present many excellent events such as this one.

In addition to her hard work within the sorority and on Temple’s campus, Ivie is very active in

promoting ASR to external organizations and campuses outside of Philadelphia.  She is from New York, and would love to see Alpha Sigma Rho expand to her home state in the future.  I have no doubt that this will become a reality with her dedication and work ethic.

It is not very often that sisters are able to find someone who is truly their “perfect match” when it comes to being Big and Little, but I really believe through good times and bad, we are able to bring out the best in each other.  There have been several difficult times that I have gone through in the past two years, and one of the few people that I could always talk to was my Little.  I hope that she continues to work hard and pass down the traditions that we have built together as a family.  I can already see the positive impact that she has had on her own little, Phoebe “R*mageddon” Thai, who crossed in Fall 2013. Having a little sister is truly a privilege, and I have been very fortunate to have Ivie “Resolute” Enoma as mine.
